Community Recruiter (Part-Time)

into “I’m in”? Metrix Marketing is hiring two charismatic, community-minded Community
Recruiters
to help bring new foster homes through certification for Monroe County.

Metrix is the County’s marketing partner, leading outreach and recruitment efforts to support
children and families across our community. As part of our team, you’ll play a key, purpose-
driven role connecting local residents to the life-changing opportunity of becoming foster
parents.

What you’ll do

  • Own the outreach. Start conversations at festivals, community events, and pop-ups;
    draw people to the table and guide them through quick QR sign-ups.
  • Pitch with purpose. Confidently present info sessions as the easy first step; if they’re not
    ready, pivot to newsletter sign-ups to nurture interest.
  • Work your pipeline like a pro. Follow up frequently, remove barriers, answer questions,
    and keep warm leads moving to info session → application → certification.
  • Build community partnerships. Line up speaking engagements and one-on-ones with
    local businesses, professional groups, faith and LGBTQ+ organizations, volunteer
    groups, and neighborhood leaders.
  • Track & report. Use Sling for schedules/timekeeping and Brevo CRM to log notes,
    next steps, and status changes.
  • Represent with pride. Set up/tear down tabling materials, keep swag stocked, and make
    sure every contact gets a business card for tracking.

Your target: Help bring at least 3 homes through to certification each contract year. We
measure success by outcomes—not how many events you attend.

You’ll thrive in this role if you…

  • Have sales, canvassing, fundraising, or community outreach experience and love hitting goals.
  • Are naturally persuasive, friendly, and resilient—you turn “maybe later” into “tell me more.”
  • Are organized and proactive with follow-ups; you manage a pipeline and keep clean CRM notes.
  • Are comfortable working evenings/weekends and longer days during festival season (about 24 community outreach days/year).
  • Are tech-savvy with apps/QR codes (we’ll train you on Sling + Brevo).
  • Care about inclusive, culturally responsive recruitment. Experience or connections within foster care are a plus, not a must.
  • Enjoy being out in the community—on your feet, talking to people, and making things happen.

Schedule & compensation

  • Part-time: ~5–20 hours/week, varies by season and your personal drive. You’ll set
    most of your schedule; some back-to-back evenings/weekends in peak months.
  • Performance bonuses:
    o $5 per person who attends an information session you booked
    o $75 per applicant you shepherd to submission
    o $150 per certification
  • Shifts are scheduled and tracked in Sling.
